About Me
Twenty years ago I was a full-time working wife and mother. It was the day of the Home party, everything from makeup to kitchen items and jewelry to home decor, including candles. It seemed like almost every week a friend or coworker was having a home party for some product or another. We also frequented the big candle store at the mall. But I wondered what was that black soot that was around the top of the candle on my wall and the ceiling if we burned the candles often enough. I did a little research and found out those candles were made of petroleum oil. Yuck. I did not want to burn that in my home around us and our pets. It was then that I discovered that candles can also be made of soy wax. Clean natural vegetable wax. That sounded so much better. But where to buy them? I couldn’t find a place to buy them, but kept coming across instructions and kits to make them. So I ordered one and made them in our kitchen. Wow these candles were amazing. Authentic scent and long burning. The scents were so authentic, the food scents actually made my mouth water. I gave them as gifts to friends and family and they raved about them. An idea was born-If they aren’t so easy to buy, why not make them and sell them ourselves? So we set out booking craft fairs and vendor shows and hand poured the candles in our kitchen. People called to asked for more. They brought back the empty jars for refills, sometimes even dropping them off on our porch with a note! As our son got older and my job changed, it was harder to do the craft fairs and vendor shows. Eventually, it was just making the candles for gifts for friends and family because they did not let me forget how much they liked them. Fast-forward 20 years, many life changes and now I’m ready to get out there and share these amazingly scented all natural clean candles with more than just family and friends. So here I am taking the next step with opening this online store. I hope you enjoy them!
